BRNO AND ITS CHURCHES: Capuchin Crypt in Brno

Do not miss the first English-language quided tour of the Capuchin Crypt in Brno!

Under the Brno Capuchin Church, the order’s crypt with the mummified remains of the order’s brothers and their benefactors has survived to this day. More than 40 such dried bodies have survived to this day. The space is a fascinating testament to the simple burial of the bodies of monks. During the tour, you will hear the stories of those who rest in the tomb and will not miss the fate of the famous military leader of Empress Maria Theresa, Baron Franz Trenck, who had himself buried in the crypt at his own request. The tour is intended for English speakers.

The guided tour will be in English, and will last aproximately 45 minutes.
